Senior Health at 8 years of age

Pets age 6-7 years for every human year.  We recommend your senior pet have an exam every 6 months age 8 and beyond.  This is equivalent to their human pet parent going to their doctor every 3 years.  Between exams, observe your pet for any changes and report them to one of our doctors.  Early detection may slow or prevent a disease from occurring.  We recommend a Senior Health Screening be done a minimum of once a year after age 8 and may need to be done more frequently depending on your pet's health.

Other tests may be recommended depending on your pet's breed, symptoms you report, or lab results.  We encourage you to call today to schedule your pet's exam.  Senior care is important and will help ensure your pet lives a longer healthier life.
